Benthic Telesis, Inc. regularly supports the Calvert County Public School system's annual Science Fair by presenting awards to students in the area of Ocean Engineering. In 2008, the recipient of the Benthic Telesis award went on to win the Grand Prize award at the Prince George's Area Regional Science Fair for his project analyzing the effect of hull shape on drag.

Luke Gridley (pictured on right with Steve Balinski) was accepted at the Webb Institute of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and we have every expectation that this is the beginning of a brilliant career.
